Russell Hoban wrote one of my favourite Christmas stories, Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas (1971). One of my nursery school teachers gave me the original printing of this book, which I proudly still have today.
I also love the TV special Jim Henson made in 1977.
Hoban died earlier this week at the age of 86.
I don't have a favorite Christmas book, but I do have a favorite Christmas movie.

It's called The Story of the Bible. My mom bought it for me at a thrift store, and it turned out to be one of my favorite books to read.
